"The response to Jaguar CD has been extremely encouraging...to a point that our initial orders have outstripped our current rate of production.  In an effort to honour all current orders, particularly those from loyal retailers who have supported Atari from the beginning, we will be manufacturing over the next several weeks and expect to ship complete orders the week of September 11, 1995.  An alternative we rejected was to `piecemeal' orders and ship against an allocation, limiting customers to a few units against their orders.  To be equitable and fair to all customers, we will ship all initial orders simultaneously."
